Grammy diets be damned! At least, that's the theme of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's Super Bowl party at their New York City apartment this Sunday.
"We have a Frito-pie bar. Imagine Fritos straight out of the bag, but Chef Roble created this amazing Frito pie bar, so everyone can make their own Frito pie," the supermodel dished at the SHAPE & Men's Fitness Magazine Super Bowl Kickoff Party sponsored by Tabasco on Friday in New York City. "I can't wait. I have been on a bit of a Grammy diet and I am ready to eat."
The 28-year-old revealed she planned to polish off her chips with a stiff drink. "I am tequila and rum. I am a hard alcohol girl."
While Teigen claims she typically whips up her own meals for this party, she enlisted the help of Bravo TV's Chef Roble and Adam, whom she called "fantastic." "Finally, we are in our own 'hood. It's going to be really fun. It'll be nice to have a few people over and stuff them into our tiny New York apartment."
As for which team they'll be rooting for, the 35-year-old crooner said he's all about one man. "Peyton Manning. I love Peyton Manning. Denver!"
This will be the duo's first Super Bowl party as a married couple and it sounds like they still have a case of newlywed bliss. Legend, who performed at Friday's Super Bowl event at Cipriani in midtown Manhattan, gushed about his wife of four months, saying, "She has a great sense of humor. She knows how to have fun ... a great sense of whimsy. I think that will be good for kids."
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit stunner chimed in about her main squeeze, as well. "We were together for seven years when we got married. It's really the same. I mean look at him: He's the sweetest thing," she cooed.
Still, she lamented that perhaps married life has caused her hubby to develop one bad habit: "Maybe we're a little more open with the bathroom. I am like, 'Babe. Take this back a notch. I cannot keep doing this. I want to pee separately. No more doors open.'"
As long as they keep the bathroom doors closed at their Super Bowl party this weekend, it sounds like it will be a hit.
