wearing x-pose rose on my cheeks
Estee Lauder Pure Color Cheek Rush* £24
available online
The new Cello Shots collection for Estee Lauder could possibly be one of their most playful launches to date with a range of lipsticks, glosses and cheek gels giving you a vibrant flush of colour with watery-like finish. These new cheek rush products are so unique and fun and seem to fill that void between a cream blush and a liquid cheek stain. The little pump dispenser delivers a consistency that is gel-like and extremely intense but the water-based colour is easily sheered out or built up depending on how vibrant you want it! The top tip when it comes to applying these blusher shots is to blend quickly as they do dry pretty fast and subsequently stain the skin (and do not budge!) My arm of swatches is a testament to this!
I like to dab the colour onto my cheeks using my finger and add another layer if necessary. They are incredibly long-lasting and beautifully dewy which is perfect if you are enjoying a lighter, fresh-faced look over the Summer. The texture is quite unusually but is lovely and silky to use and gives your cheeks a pop of juicy colour and a shot of hydration. The cheek rushes are completely oil-free so never end up looking greasy on your skin and contain an infusion of natural extracts and moisturising ingredients. My favourite from this trio is x-pose rose as it gives you a gorgeous, rosy glow but pink patent is pretty lovely too for a more subtle baby-pink flush.
