My understanding is after 180 days of 485 filing, even if the employer revokes the approved 140, the 485 application does not get affected if you apply AC21 and let USCIS know that you have changed employment and the job duties are similar. Is it true? or is there is any risk if employer revokes 140?
As per the Yates memo, we are covered once 180 days have passed since filing 485.
If the employer revokes 140, then USCIS will issue a RFE, most probably NOID on your 485. AC-21 papers filed or not, its up to the officer who is handling your case. Even if you sent the AC-21 papers, he/she still can issue a NOID.
Then it will up to you to prove that changing jobs was with in rules. A lot of people do it and get GC's. Its a common practice and is now becoming more visible.
So, just be cautious with the job change and make sure your job responsibilties are as close as mentioned on the labor.

there is no one ready to give u a job if u dont have a GC or a EAD or OPT or u go through a consultant. These guys should know that first. Everyone does apply through a body shopper which is not right.. but is there a way out...

For your Information India's GDP is 3 trillion USD compare to Mexico 1 trillion USD. Taking into account GDP of EU India ranks 5th in GDP higher than any indivisual European nation where as Mexico ranks 13th. This is as per CIA worldfactbook. So where did you get the number

To begin with, this is not the place for me to explain to you the details of difference between Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) GDP (that you quote) and the market exchange rate GDP which I quoted. But since you raised the subject, PPP GDP is adjusted to accomodate for different inflation and consumption rates in different countries. Without the PPT adjustment, India's GDP is equal to Mexico's, even though India has 11 times the population of Mexico. The reason India comes in 4th with the PPP adjustment in the world is because the ruppee is undervalued and Indians have a purchasing power that is 4 times smaller than Mexicans. So, to humor you and use your method of calculation, the Per Capita GDP (PPP) Of India is $3,344 in 2006 and Mexico's is $12,886. "Where are all the Mexican doctores, computer scientists, economists and professors?" you ask. The answer is: They are IN MEXICO making huge salaries, when the Indian ones have to come here because their salaries in India don't give them enough money to eat. Why aren't all the construction workers and lawn workers in the U.S. Indian? Because they cannot affor the airfare. The Mexicans just walk accross the border. Any you know what? All those Indian Professors at Harvard etc are teaching class to all those rich Mexican kids. Get your facts straight before you confront me and make fun of my MBA (which I got in the U.S. incidentally, not Mexico, but if I had wanted I could have gotten a top 20 MBA back home). All who are still waiting for FP, a suggestion based on my personal experience. If you are calling TSC, then it will not make any difference as you will not receive FP notice even after calling and waiting for months. I would suggest take Infopass and get the FP scheduled. For NSC, sometimes if you get nice IO they may schedule you right away and tell you the date of FP on the phone itself. This info is all based on my past experiences of reading various threads and calling TSC. So I am not sure what the trend is right now.

Don't make stupid statements like this. It goes to show your intelligence and that you are an instigator. With statements like that you will alienate EB3 more. BTW, I contributed to DC advocacy and many other EB3s also did the same. That money apparently seemed to have have helped EB2 and not EB3.

There is not much use for just fighting EB3-I. You can send a letter or lobbey and they will hear it. Thats all. There are so much discrepancies in immigration policy of USA(The impact is for just for potential immigrants not for the country) I do not think they will spend time to resolve each and every small discrepancy. There are more more severe issues in the country than resolving EB3-I. Of course that is a big issue for those who are impacted.
But the problem will be automatically resolved if STEM/and or Recapture bill is passed. That is a big picture and that will get more attention than just lobbying for EB3-I.

It is very very difficult to convince anyone to overflow EB2 ROW -> EB3 ROW -> EB3 I (leaving EB2 I out of loop). (eventhough USCIS did it in past)
If someone tries to re-interprete, it will end up like:EB2 ROW -> EB3 ROW -> EB2I -> EB3 I, still no real benefit to EB3 I; only EB2 I will loose with some benefit to EB3 ROW.
Bottom line is, we need more visa numbers and that's what we need to campaign for. May it be recapture, or STEM exemption or anything else.

I called USCIS today morning, response was by end of this (oct)month they will complete all data entry for I-485. He told that last week they did lot of entries for July 2 and we should see the receipt number any time soon.

I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

MAY GOD BLESS you with a long life and gives courage and wisdom to your family. Getting another opinion from a reputed hospital should be your top most priority. MUST GET SECOND OPINION. Miracles do happen. A friend of mine survived for almost 12 years after the doctors told him 6 months.
I will keep you in my daily prayers and I AM SURE with so many hands folded in prayers for you, GOD will have to SHOWER with his choicest blessings and MAY YOU LIVE LONG.
Contact the IO diectly with all the medical documents and I am sure they are HUMAN too and some one will definately be there for you to help.
I am out of words and do not know as to how I can be of any help to YOU and YOUR family. PLS. do not hesitate to contact me.
